my mom would yell at us and then ask

    did I stutter?

and one day I was feelin’ bold - so I said yes, you did stutter

    and her response was

    THEN YOU HEARD ME TWICE

    dwellerinthelibrary:

“Painted relief fragment depicts a carpenter squatting on a scaffolding and working on a wooden object with his adze. Contrary to custom he is shown dishevelled and unshaven.”
Occasionally you do get a non-stylised portrait popping up in Egyptian art. I wonder if this chap was someone the artist knew, or had observed. (Further to my postings of the other day, I wonder if his hair is not “dishevelled”, but afro-textured.)

    2am-poetry:

Romance was never meant for people like us

    quick to doubt

    slow to trust

Kiss my smile before it rusts

and pray that I still love you

    in the morning.
